Reservist medics treat 8,000 in Dominican tour
DOVER AIR FORCE BASE, Del. — Thirty-eight Air Force Reserve medics gave free medical care to more than 8,000 patients in the Dominican Republic this month.

The remains of 27-year-old Army Spc. Joseph A. Bauer arrived at Dover Air Force Base in Delaware. Family members say Defense Department officials informed them that Bauer, who lived in Owensville, died Saturday when an explosive hit his vehicle while he was working duty as a mine sweeper.
